COVID-19 Primary Care Vaccination Support Program information

About COVID-19 Support Program

Initiative 1: COVID- 19 Vaccination home visits and pop-up clinics.  

Open to: All Immunisers working in primary health care and general practices
Eligibility: Vulnerable people who have difficulty accessing COVID-19 Vaccinations 
 
To apply to be part of the COVID-19 Vaccination Primary Care Support Program, the following conditions apply:  
  • Must be a COVID-19 Vaccinating site – or willing to apply to administer. 
  • Site must assist with community involvement.  
  • Commitment to reporting requirements.

Initiative 2: COVID-19 non-Medicare card holder vaccination 

Open to: Vaccinations administered by general practitioners, nurse practitioners and authorised nurse immunisers (subject to program approval)  
Eligibility: Non - Medicare card holders requiring a COVID-19 vaccination
 
The Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care is funding WA Primary Health Alliance to reimburse general practices to support non-Medicare patients being vaccinated against COVID- 19.  
 
Practices can be reimbursed to the rebate value of the relevant MBS item number and reimbursement can be backdated to July 2023

Complete the program onboarding Expression of Interest (EOI) via our online Survey.
 
Step 1: Review and Update your Supplier details in ASPIRE*
Step 2: Complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) survey

Before 1 December 2024 to allow for invoice processing by 13 December 2024

Supplier Registration New/Update (ASPIRE) – Manuals & Support Tools

WAPHA uses an ERP platform called ‘ASPIRE’ to manage grant and program agreements and payments. Many general practices have already registered as a supplier and are only needing to update an existing supplier's details.
