Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM)

The Australian Association of Practice Management Ltd (AAPM) is the professional organisation representing those persons engaged in the management of healthcare facilities. 

AAPM's primary roles are of advocacy for its members and provision of training and professional development activities within the healthcare sector. AAPM actively promotes the highest standards of management within the healthcare sector.

Australian Medical Association (AMA) Training

AMA Training provide a range of medical reception, CPR, business and health industry based training courses. Distance learning options are available for rural and remote students.

Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA)

Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL)

AGPAL's online learning modules are available to educate your practice staff on key areas of the accreditation process and requirements under the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (RACGP) Standards for general practices: 4th edition. AGPAL clients are also provided with complimentary access to the THINK GP education portal.

Australian Health Industry Group (AHIG)

The Australian Health Industry Group (AHIG), is an independent management and consulting group that utilises its industry expertise, intellectual rigour and strength to assist its clients to solve complex business problems by delivering pragmatic outcomes that matter.

The Benchmarque Group

The Benchmarque Group is a Registered Training Organisation specialising in the development and delivery of nationally accredited clinical skills programs.

NPS MedicineWise

NPS MedicineWise is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that works to improve the way health technologies, medicines and medical tests are prescribed and used. NPS MedicineWise have been promoting access to unbiased evidence since 1998, with the primary aim of supporting the quality use of medicines.
Content is independent, evidence based and peer reviewed – designed to keep health professionals up-to-date with the latest in prescribing practice.
Services are free, RACGP & ACRRM accredited and can be delivered at GP practices in face to face visits or as convenient Virtual Visits by video conference.

Palliative Care Online Training Portal

The Palliative Care Online Training Portal (the Portal) provides free non-clinical interactive training to carers, community and aged care workers, students, volunteers, family members and clinicians who want to build their skills in caring for someone with a life-limiting illness.

The Portal covers topics such as: the needs of people and their families as they approach end-of-life; assessment skills; end-of-life conversations; self-care and building resilience; pain management; and recognising deteriorating patients.

Registration is free and there are no time restrictions for completion of the modules.

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) have published new resources to assist healthcare providers understand their privacy obligations under the My Health Record system.  As the independent regulator for the privacy aspects of the My Health Record system, the OAIC is working with the health sector as it prepares for the system to become opt-out by the end of 2018.

UNE Partnerships

WA Practice Nurses Association (WAPNA)

The Western Australian Practice Nurses Association (WAPNA) was established to provide a forum for Western Australian nurses, who are employed in General Practices, Doctors' Surgeries and Clinics, offering them opportunities to meet, update their medical knowledge and nursing skills, and interact socially.
