Practice Assist supports general practices by providing easy access to all the information you need to run a contemporary, successful general practice.

Help Desk and Advice

The Practice Assist Help Desk is your one-stop-shop for trouble-shooting your practice management queries and challenges. The Help Desk is manned Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, by staff who have extensive experience in establishing, running and building great general practices.  

Our friendly Help Desk staff may be able to answer your query then and there over the phone or email, point you in the right direction to find the resources you need in our Tool Kit Resource Library or arrange for a Practice Assist staff member to call your practice for more extensive support.

Practice Support 

Practice Assist staff are available via email, phone or video call to provide tailored advice and support with:

  • accreditation preparation 
  • Medicare Benefits Schedule 
  • immunisation initiatives 
  • cancer screening initiatives 
  • digital health, including My Health Record 
  • set up of HealthPathways WA, including log-in details 
  • data extraction 
  • staff training and education
  • up-to-date information relevant to general practice
  • quality improvement activities.

The Tool Kit  

The Practice Assist Tool Kit is a comprehensive suite of resources aimed at enabling general practices to run sustainable, viable and successful businesses.
